With the current changes in learning and
the rapid development in technology, there are many ways teachers can
incorporate fun and exiciting ways to keep students engaged. Edmondo provides a
fun and exciting way for teachers to fuse ICT (information and Communication
Technologies) into challenging subjects. Currently, many students within the
classroom learn at various levels, though this may seem challenging to many,
ICTs provide an opportunity to extend learning outside of the classroom for
students who need additional support. Edmondo has a host of features which
include quizzes, polls and the ablility to post and respond to questions. In
addition, teachers are able to post assignments on the site and students may
track their learning progress throughout the school year. Once a lesson is
taught, students have the ability to go to the library section of the site to
access material as a reference tool while working on an assignment. Lastly,
teachers have the ability to select a common core standard and view sample
questions they may share with students based on the particular standard
selected.
